SEO Vault ("the App", "we", "us") helps a merchant back up and restore the SEO fields of their store. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, how long it is kept, and how it is protected.

What we access

When you install the App on your store, we access and store:

• Your store domain and a session token needed to authenticate with the Shopify Admin API.
• Daily snapshots of your product and collection SEO fields: meta titles, meta descriptions, image alt-text, tags, handles and the related SEO metafields.
• A record of changes detected to those fields (field, before, after, time).
• An optional contact email address that you provide so we can send you change alerts.

We do not access your customers' personal data. The App requests only the write_products scope and never reads orders, customers or buyer information.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the App's functionality: keeping backups of your SEO fields, detecting and showing changes, sending you mass-change alerts, and restoring a previous snapshot when you ask. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention & deletion

Snapshots are retained for 7 days on the Free plan and 30 days on the Pro plan, then automatically purged. When you uninstall the App, or when Shopify sends a shop redaction request, all of your stored data is permanently deleted. The App honors Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customer data request, customer redaction, shop redaction).

Where data is processed

Data is processed and stored by our infrastructure providers (serverless hosting and a managed PostgreSQL database) located in the United States and the European Union. Access is restricted and all traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS).

Your rights

You can request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time by uninstalling the App or by contacting us at the address below. Requests relayed through Shopify's compliance webhooks are processed automatically.
